The JVC GR-DVL220 digital cybercam combines outstanding performance with a sleek, compact design. The GR-DVL220 has a high-performance 800,000-pixel CCD high band processor; it also boasts a convenient digital still picture output which allows the camcorder to function as a digital still camera.

Features

High-Performance 800,000-Pixel CCD. - Charge-Coupled Device - The image sensor that separates the spectrum of color into red, green and blue for digital processing by the camera. In digital cameras both Area and Linear CCDs are used. A CCD captures only black-and-white images. The image is passed through red, green and blue filters in order to capture color.

Versatile Multimedia Interfaces including: i.LINK® ports enable you to connect compatible digital audio and digital video (digital input/output IEEE 1394/Firewire compliant), S-Video output, PC terminal and RS232 connection cable and software for Still Image Transfer & Manipulation (PC/AT compatible).

10x Optical Zoom - The optical zoom lens magnifies your creative possibilities; it can transform distant scenes into dramatic close-ups with absolutely no loss in image quality. An optical zoom is made to bring you closer to your subject, without you having to move.
 

700x Digital Zoom with Spline Interpolation. - Unlike an optical zoom, the digital zoom takes the central portion of the high-resolution sensor's image to achieve the effect of a zoom. This means that the existing data is not enhanced or added to, merely displayed at a lower resolution, thereby giving an illusion of an enlarged image.

A high-resolution 2.5-inch amorphous silicon, 270-degree LCD color monitor makes it a snap to see your subject.

Digital Image Stabilizer. - A means by which the camcorder can maintain a stable image despite camcorder vibration or shake.
